• Sewing for the 26th Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity!
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (in Polish Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, WOŚP) is the biggest, non-governmental, non-profit, charity organization in Poland. The Foundation holds American Heart Association certification to provide courses in CPR and AED, and for the use of high technology for medical lifesaving. The organization aims to support health care in Poland by purchase of state of the art medical equipment for Polish hospitals and clinics and by establishing and running six medical programs and one educational program. The foundation supports pediatric and geriatric wards, furnishing them in both complex medical devices such as MRI scanners, and providing long-term care units with anti-bedsore mattresses and beds.
For the 26th Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Polish Patchwork Association and company Impall prepared a charity sewing of a patchwork cover bed with hearts. Later on the cover bed was put on charity auction, and all the proceeds from the auction were allocated entirely to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

Sewn for the auction bed cover was named “Unruly Heart” (in polish: “Niesforne serce”) because one of the hearts has been turned and it has a symbolic meaning - nothing is perfect in life, there is a lot to do and it only depends on us whether we undertake such a challenge.

Sewing the bedspreads gave the participants a great pleasure- they say, and in our opinion It’s fantastic how by sewing you can help your local charity!
